A view of a lower arm in a plaster cast showing a compound comminuted fracture of the radius and ulna. The radius is in fragments and the original trauma was probably a through and through lesion due to a bullet hitting and disintegrating the radius bone. The exit wound was likely to have been on the radial side above the wrist in line with the metallic wire on the surface of the cast.
