Beats In Kansas: The Beat Generation in the Heartland

Peyote Poem: The Man Unlocked

From
the locked man

by Alan Russo, 1960
Wichita, Kansas

The paths are not longer hidden
And noplace dark will hide me.
May I find light to face the Light that breaks the light.
And height to reach the Height that crumbles height.
and love to bear the Love that stifles love.
